The Gunston Rowing program will celebrate its former headmasters, Jeffrey Woodworth and Peter Sturtevant, when it dedicates two new Varsity 4's named in their honor on Saturday, May 3 at 11am at the Gunston Waterfront.

The Gunston School's Rowing program hosted the inaugural Gunston Invitational Regatta on Saturday, April 5. Racing on the Corsica River past a crowd of cheering fans along the Gunston shore, crews rowed in events for 4 and 8-person shells. Teams in attendance were Annapolis Junior Rowing from Annapolis, MD, Montgomery Blair High School from Silver Spring, MD, and the Freedom Rowers from Easton, MD.

We are pleased to report that The Gunston School's 2014 Spring Auction was a tremendous success. This is thanks to the tireless dedication of the Gunston Parents Association, with a special appreciation for the tremendous work of Mara Schmittinger and Jill Meyerhoff. We raised over $80,000 including $43,525 in "Stop-the-Auction," which will be matched dollar for dollar to go to building a new, state of the art tennis complex.

Junior Blynda Chen will represent Gunston in the 2014 Maryland All State Senior Chorus this weekend. Members of the All State Chorus were selected from nearly 1,500 students registered to audition last November across the state.
